Our products are the result of a creative idea transpired from a design concept pertinent to a single project. What looks amazing in today's world of interior design could soon appear antiquated by a new trend or concept. In other words, our products have a shelf life routinely between 3 to 7 years depending on the hospitality brand. While we hope to be involved with the renovation years later, changes in personnel, ownership or gaps in communication eliminates any guarantee, leaving us wondering how our products will end up and their effect on the environment. The only way to end the wonder and ensure the products we manufacture and supply have the lowest effect on the environment is to maintain control of how we source our raw materials.
We've made some progress over the past decade utilizing the use of Earth's own natural raw materials like bamboo, cork, hemp and cotton when sourcing our textiles. We also source our aluminum extrusions from recycled material and remain committed to recycling all of our waste and inspect our overages for reuseability. We've ended the use of engineered wood products and insist on sourcing only products made from all natural wood.
Our focus remains on the most difficult component which involves plastic. Converting our plastic components to bioplastics for years have been hampered with high conversion costs two or three times more expensive than conventional plastics and sourcing factories is diificult to find with production levels hindered by low yields. Until there's sanctions that forbid th use of plastics harming our oceans, we seem to hit a wall every time.
That was until recently, we were finally introduced to Green PE. This is an incredible process of composing polyethylene with sugarcane which allows it to store the atmospheres' CO2 during its growth cycle. This method conserves already scarce fossil raw materials, reduces CO2 emission and 100% recyclable at its end of life. We look forward to becoming more involved and help spread the word, so we can one day proclaim we're converting our plastic components over to this new method.
We hope every business will do their part to become sustainably responsible and decrease their carbon footprint. Every effort to save our environment and our oceans makes a world of difference.
Extruded aluminum makes up the greatest portion of our products and considered our largest reusable resource recycled weekly.
Real wood is our preference in handcrafting custom millwork having the highest recyclability benefit to the environment.
An Opportunity to Build Green defines our sustainable goals where an adherence to spec assures a project LEED Certification.
Our first priority ensures the Contents that go into our products can also come without make a lasting impression.
